• Location: Oldbury
• Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm
• Enhanced Work-Life Balance: Christmas Shutdown from 24 December to 4 January + No Bank Holiday Working
• Rate of Pay: Up to £18.50 per hour

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our catering operation in one of the UK’s leading parcel delivery and logistics businesses

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on culinary leader who can combine high-quality food, strong people leadership and commercial awareness to deliver an excellent customer experience.

The Role

As Head Chef, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day culinary operation, ensuring food is consistently prepared and delivered to a high standard while leading, motivating and developing the kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and developing the catering and culinary team
• Producing consistently high-quality, fresh food
• Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards
• Planning menus and keeping the food offer fresh and appealing
• Driving food quality, presentation, sales and customer satisfaction
• Managing recipes, stock levels, GP and food costs
• Supporting commercial and operational KPIs
• Coaching and mentoring team members to achieve their potential
• Ensuring service runs smoothly and efficiently
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and business growth
• Being hands-on and supporting the team during busy services

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or senior culinary leader
• Has experience leading and developing a kitchen team
• Is passionate about fresh, high-quality food
• Has strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety
• Understands food costs, stock control and GP
• Is organised, commercially aware and customer-focused
• Can lead by example and remain hands-on when required
• Has excellent communication and people-management skills
• Enjoys developing teams and creating a positive working environment
• Is confident working in a busy, high-volume catering environment
