- Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for a Headteacher to lead our brand new SEN school based in Woking, Surrey.
- Oak Hall School will be an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls.
Based in a quiet residential area of Woking, the school meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 5-19 with a range of complex learning needs including autism and SEN.
The school is set to open in April and the new Headteacher will be expected to lead the school form the outset, forming links with local authorities and SEND commissioners.
We have plans to offer a broad curriculum at this school so you must be prepared to assist with the development of this varied range of subjects from Barista to the performing arts!

The successful applicants will need
- A wealth of experience working as a Head Teacher in a similar SEND environment or setting.
- Experience in a growth setting.
- Have a good understanding about the School Improvement process, effective curriculum models and the development of process, maintain and build your understanding of requirements, helping the school move towards an outstanding rating
- Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the Independent School Standards
- Ability to motivate, drive and support staff and pupils, using a person-centred approach
- A real ‘can do, will do’ attitude, with the desire to succeed and improve our school
- Excellent communication and top-quality relationship building skills
- Hold Qualified Teacher status
