Income Officer
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Northwich who are recruiting for an Income Officer on a temporary eight-week contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £25 per hour via an Umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have used the QL system previously, have a basic DBS certificate, or be happy to have one carried out, drive and have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience of Income Management.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing a patch of tenants to maximise rental income and minimise arrears
- Monitoring rent accounts and taking proactive action to prevent arrears escalating
- Negotiating and monitoring repayment arrangements with customers in arrears
- Taking enforcement action in line with tenancy agreements and relevant legislation
- Preparing cases for court proceedings and provide evidence where required
- Working closely with Housing Officers, legal teams and external agencies to resolve complex arrears cases
Experience required:
- Experience required in Social Housing
- Experience working with customers within housing
