We are partnering with a private equity-backed business undergoing a significant period of transformation and value creation. As the company continues to execute its strategic growth agenda, an experienced Interim Head of FP&A is required to lead financial planning, reporting and commercial decision support, whilst playing a key role in a planned carve-out and disposal of part of the business.

Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the Executive Team and PE stakeholders, this is a highly visible role requiring both strong technical FP&A capability and proven transaction experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and enhance the FP&A function, delivering robust budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
  • Develop high-quality board, lender and investor reporting packs.
  • Provide commercial insight and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, KPI reporting and business performance management.
  • Partner with operational leaders to challenge assumptions and identify value creation opportunities.
  • Lead the financial workstream for a carve-out of a business division, including separation planning, standalone financials and TSA considerations.
  • Support the disposal process, working alongside advisors on financial information, diligence requests and buyer engagement.
  • Build and maintain integrated financial models to support transaction and strategic planning activities.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, controls and reporting throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience leading FP&A within a PE-backed, high-growth or transformational environment.
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting and commercial finance expertise.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering carve-outs, business separations, disposals or M&A transactions.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with senior executive and investor exposure.
  • Hands-on, delivery-focused and capable of driving change with pace and pragmatism.
