IT Project Engineer
IT Project Engineer
Tailor Made Technologies | Whiteley, Hampshire | Hybrid | £40,000 - £55,000
The Role
Want to work on the kind of projects most engineers only read about? We're growing our IT Project Team and looking for an experienced IT Project Engineer to deliver infrastructure transformation projects for some of our largest enterprise customers.
These aren't box-ticking installs. You'll be stepping into complex, multi-site, hybrid environments - from Citrix DaaS and Azure Virtual Desktop estates to thousand-device Intune and Autopilot rollouts - and making them modern, secure and resilient.
Working from designs created by our Technical Consultants, you'll take ownership of delivery from kick-off to handover - building, configuring, migrating and making sure every project lands successfully. Through our peer review process, you'll also have a real voice in shaping each solution before it's built, bringing your hands-on experience to the table.
Along the way you'll work with the latest Microsoft cloud, security and automation technologies and see the real impact of your work on organisations that depend on it every day.
In return, we'll invest in you: structured training, funded certifications and a clear path to grow your career with us.
This is a hybrid role with regular travel to customer sites across the UK. A valid UK driving license is required.

- Automating everything you can - using PowerShell, RMM tooling and modern automation to make deployments repeatable, reliable and fast.
- Solving the hard problems - troubleshooting and resolving issues in test and live environments, working through approved change control.
- Working as one team - partnering closely with Project Managers, Account Managers and Technical Consultants, and communicating confidently with customer stakeholders from IT teams to senior leadership.
- Leaving things better than you found them - producing clear documentation and runbooks so our service desk teams can hit the ground running.
What You'll Bring
- Strong infrastructure experience with Windows Server and Active Directory - this is essential.
- Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune.
- A track record of owning projects across their full lifecycle and delivering against agreed targets.

- Curiosity and drive - you enjoy learning new technologies and want to keep developing.
