6-Month Contract | £400 - £500 per day inside IR35

A Global Banking Organisation are looking for a proactive and ambitious Junior Project Manager / Business Analyst to support a portfolio of technology and business change initiatives within a large corporate environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with approximately 3–5 years' experience across Business Analysis, Project Management, Change or Technology Delivery who is looking to take greater ownership of projects and develop their career towards becoming a Project Manager.

You will work closely with the Head of Project Delivery, taking ownership of smaller projects and individual workstreams across a broader change portfolio. Typical initiatives will include core banking technology migrations, enterprise technology change and remediation of technology audit findings.

This is a hands-on role. We are looking for someone who is willing to do whatever is required to move a project forward — whether that means managing the project plan, chasing actions, facilitating stakeholder meetings, gathering requirements, mapping processes or working with technology teams to resolve delivery issues.

The successful candidate will combine strong organisation and project coordination skills with the ability to operate as a Business Analyst when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver smaller technology change projects and individual workstreams within larger programmes.
  • Develop, maintain and drive project plans, milestones, dependencies and delivery activities.
  • Proactively manage actions, risks, issues and dependencies through RAID logs and project governance.
  • Coordinate activities across Technology, Operations, Business and third-party stakeholders.
  • Drive projects forward by following up actions, resolving blockers and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Gather, document and validate business and technology requirements through stakeholder meetings and workshops.
  • Produce clear business requirements, functional requirements and supporting project documentation.
  • Analyse current-state processes and support the design of future-state operating processes.
  • Create process maps, workflows, data flows and supporting documentation.
  • Support technology migration and implementation activities across enterprise systems.
  • Assist with the remediation and closure of technology audit findings and control issues.

Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Approximately 3–5 years' experience within Business Analysis, Project Management, Project Delivery, Change or a similar role.
  • Experience working on technology change or transformation projects.
  • Experience owning smaller projects, project workstreams or defined areas of delivery.
  • Ability to create and maintain project plans and track milestones, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and/or technical requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage across Business and Technology teams.
  • Experience producing project documentation including RAID logs, action trackers, status reports and governance materials.
  • Strong process mapping, workflow analysis and documentation skills.
  • An understanding of systems, integrations, data flows and technology delivery.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with exposure to Microsoft Project and process-mapping tools such as Visio.

Desirable

  • Experience within Banking, Financial Services or another regulated environment.
  • Exposure to core banking migrations, systems migrations or enterprise technology transformation.
  • Experience supporting remediation of technology, risk, control or audit findings.
  • Experience working within a large corporate or complex enterprise environment.
  • Exposure to both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with process improvement, automation, Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen.
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot.

We are looking for someone with the attitude and ambition to develop into a Project Manager.

You may currently be working as a Business Analyst, Junior Project Manager, Project Analyst, Change Analyst or similar, but you will already have experience taking ownership of deliverables and driving pieces of work through to completion.

This is initially a 6-month contract, with the potential for a permanent opportunity for the right individual.
