Junior Trader (Credit Trading Desk) – Global Hedge Fund - Six figure comp package

A multi-billion dollar AUM multi-strategy Hedge Fund are looking to hire a junior specific to its high-performing European credit trading business.

Sat with exceptional PM’s, Traders and Researchers, the new hire will be trained to cover a broad credit investment remit, with exposure to a variety of credit trading markets. The role covers trade execution, trade booking, analysing market reports to support trading decisions, monitoring risk, maintaining trades / trading instruments etc. In addition to being highly analytical, it is also quant / tech focused, with a focus on process improvement & desk efficiency – the hire can expect to learn python and SQL to a strong standard in the role.

A high performer can move internally into an outright trading role, or into an investment analyst position within 2yrs.

We are specifically looking for candidates with 2-3yrs experience in an operations / middle office / trader assistant role, looking for a move to front office. A strong background in ‘credit’ is a pre-requisite. Programming skills are highly beneficial. STEM academics are preferred.

Whilst this is a junior level role, it will pay a £100k+ base salary and a 50%+ bonus potential.
