Role Description The Land Surveyor role at Pro Rail Services is a full-time, on-site position based in the United Kingdom and Ireland (Dublin & Cork), supporting rail and civil engineering projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting land and topographic surveys, setting out works, and collecting accurate site data using total stations and other surveying instruments. The role involves preparing survey drawings, reports, and digital records, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure that designs and construction activities are based on precise measurements. The Land Surveyor will also verify existing site conditions, monitor construction progress, and maintain compliance with relevant rail and safety standards. Accurate record-keeping, adherence to company procedures, and consistent communication with stakeholders are essential aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in Land Surveying and Surveying for civil engineering or rail projects.
• Proficiency in Topographic Surveys, including data collection, processing, and production of survey deliverables.
• Hands-on experience using Total Station and related surveying equipment and software.
• Background in Building Surveying or structural-related surveys is beneficial.
• Relevant technical qualification in surveying, civil engineering, geomatics, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and spatial awareness.
• Ability to work safely on active rail and construction sites, following all safety-critical procedures.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
