Where you’ll be working?

BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.

What you'll be doing?

Lead audits, surveys and feasibility studies to develop mechanical piping and process engineering solutions that meet client technical, cost and schedule requirements. Deliver concept through detailed design packages, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards and pressure equipment regulations. Identify, communicate and manage project risks while promoting sustainable, low-carbon design approaches. Support bids and tender reviews, manage design subcontracts, and oversee project delivery to quality, cost and programme targets. Mentor team members, drive continuous improvement, and fulfil Designer or Principal Designer duties in accordance with CDM 2015 regulations.

What You’ll Bring

  • Chartered engineer or working towards chartership
  • Degree in technical engineering related subject
  • Strong understanding of design process & associated documentation
  • Have significant experience in the application of standard pipework design codes including; ASME B31.1 ASME B31.3, BS EN 13480, etc. Including understanding of stress calculations
  • Significant experience in application of Pressure Equipment Regulations (PED)
  • Strong experience using AutoCAD, Plant3D and other Computer Aided Design tools
