Lead Superintendent Radiographer and Programme Manager Breast Imaging

Job Overview
**INTERNAL ONLY VACANCY**
The successful applicant will be working closely with other members of the Radiology leadership team across our two hospital sites to deliver a quality, patient-focused service. Breast Imaging is a vibrant team, continually looking for ways to develop innovative ideas and ways of working, ensuring our services continue to match the rapid pace of growth in diagnostic advances. We actively support role extension and have introduced new roles into our departments to help meet the demands of the service.
You will need to demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of the National Breast Screening Programme; effective leadership skills with experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams; effective communication; be able to interpret and present performance and business data; be able to advise senior managers of risks and issues; and solve operational and day to day management issues using previous experience and own initiative. You will need to have a strong collaborative approach and the ability to engage service users, partners, commissioners and other key stakeholders.
The post holder is accountable for service delivery, liaising with service users and other agencies as appropriate in addition to the management of complex imaging equipment to ensure compliance with the Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR17) and the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IRMER).
Main duties of the job
They will have a delegated budgetary responsibility ensuring a cost effective approach is adopted.
The post holder will provide expert knowledge and leadership for breast within the team and for the development of strategies to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
