A leading international financial institution is seeking a Master Agreements Specialist to join its legal documentation team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience negotiating trading documentation who enjoys working closely with front office, credit, legal and risk teams in a fast-paced markets environment. The position offers broad exposure across a range of asset classes and legal agreements while supporting business growth and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the negotiation and execution of trading and market-standard legal documentation.
  • Draft, review and manage agreements including ISDAs, Credit Support Annexes, GMRAs, GMSLAs and FX documentation.
  • Coordinate regulatory onboarding documentation and related legal requirements.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders across legal, risk, credit and business teams to resolve documentation issues.
  • Support the negotiation of ancillary trading agreements, confidentiality agreements and brokerage documentation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation records and internal tracking systems.
  • Contribute to documentation-related projects, process improvements and wider legal initiatives.

About You

  • Experience negotiating financial markets documentation within a bank, law firm or financial services organisation.
  • Strong understanding of master agreements and related trading documentation.
  • Familiarity with concepts such as netting, collateral arrangements and counterparty risk.
  • Ability to manage multiple negotiations simultaneously and work to deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable Experience

  • Legal qualification or relevant legal background.
  • Exposure to regulatory documentation requirements.
  • Experience supporting derivatives, repo, securities lending or FX products.
  • Additional language skills would be advantageous.
