MHST - Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse

Licensed sponsor Leicester Full-time Posted 1 hour ago

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland as a Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner (Registered Mental Health Nurse). Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based mental health support to children, young people and families in schools and community settings.

The role includes undertaking mental health assessments, delivering interventions, supporting triage and duty functions, reviewing referrals, managing risk, responding to safeguarding concerns, and ensuring children and young people receive appropriate support. You will work collaboratively with schools, families, community services and partner agencies, contributing to service development and the delivery of safe, effective care.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nurse with a passion for early intervention and improving outcomes for children and young people.

Vacancies are available across Blaby, Oadby and Wigston, Charnwood, Rutland, Hinckley, and Leicester City.

MHSTs are part of a national programme improving access to mental health support for children and young people. You will benefit from robust clinical supervision, strong multidisciplinary support, and excellent development opportunities within a service guided by the THRIVE framework.

For an informal discussion, please contact, Gemma Billson - gemma.billson@nhs.net

About You

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with experience of supporting children, young people and adults experiencing mental health difficulties.
