Job Introduction

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled FM Operative to join our Facilities Management team and provide a high-quality, flexible support service across a range of FM soft services.

This is a varied role where you will support cleaning, portering, reception, post room and front-of-house activities, helping to ensure the site remains safe, clean, secure and well maintained.

You will be a key point of contact for customers, colleagues, visitors and clients, delivering excellent customer service while adapting to the changing operational needs of the site.

What You'll Do

• Deliver cleaning, portering and general FM support across the site.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
• Support reception, visitor management and post room operations.
• Set up meeting rooms and provide basic hospitality support when required.
• Move furniture, equipment, parcels, mail and other materials safely.
• Respond to reactive requests, work orders and changing operational needs.
• Follow all Health & Safety, COSHH, security and site procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, colleagues and visitors.
• Complete required records, checklists and training.
• Work flexibly across different FM services and support the wider team as required.

What You Bring:

Essential

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers, clients, colleagues and visitors.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and respond effectively to changing operational demands.
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices.
• Ability to undertake physical duties, including lifting, carrying and moving furniture and equipment.
• Comfortable working across multiple Facilities Management functions.
• Flexible approach and willingness to support the wider team.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a cleaning, portering or multi-skilled FM role.

• Experience working within a corporate, healthcare, government or public sector environment.
• Knowledge of COSHH and the safe use of cleaning chemicals.
• Manual Handling training.
• Health & Safety or relevant workplace safety training.
• Previous reception, visitor management or post room experience.
