NHS Locum Specialty Doctor in Older Adult Inpatient

This role is for a fixed term NHS Locum Specialty Old Age Psychiatrist to provide medical leadership for the Kitwood and Roding inpatient wards based at St Margaret's Hospital Epping Essex. The Doctor will provide medical leadership for the multidisciplinary team comprising of resident doctors, ward nursing team, psychiatrists, CPN's, OT and psychologist.
Kitwood ward Consultant and Roding Ward Consultant will provide direct line management and clinical supervision. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the ward managers and the wider MDT to provide a safe and effective service. The post holder will also be expected to work closely with the relevant community teams and contribute to providing an effective care pathway for patients across the service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have responsibility for the clinical care of those patients admitted to the in-patient unit on the ward. The post holder will also be expected to work closely with the team and the ward manager to ensure the provision of an effective service.
