Job summary We are seeking an exceptional and experienced nurse to become a Nurse Consultant within the Breast Cancer oncology team. The role will support the Breast Cancer Oncology Services, working as an increasingly independent practitioner responsible for patient treatment and holistic patient centred care. As a Nurse Consultant you will provide high level of expert clinical advice and leadership, support and deliver education and professional development and assist in research and quality improvementprojects. Working alongside clinical colleagues, the successful individual will reduce waiting times to see specialist oncology practitioners, provide resilience to the service and improve patient experience. You will join an innovative team of oncologists, ACPs, pharmacists and specialist nurses, delivering non-surgical oncology treatments in a tertiary centre. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and be able to prioritise a complex workload. You will take pride in your work,be self-motivated, professional, proactive and personally resilient. In addition, have a flexible approach, good organisational skills, and excellent attention to detail. You will be passionate as a lifelong, self-directed learner in this rapidly developing and exciting specialty.
