Job Summary
Leeds Teaching Hospitals trust has a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join the Operational Facilities team as the band 7 Facilities Operations Manager running the facilities services at the 3 peripheral hospitals (Seacroft, Chapel Allerton & Wharfedale). The role involves managing Ward Housekeepers, porters, domestics, waste, linen, racetrack, pest control, reception and patient catering services as examples amongst a number of other services, with a team of 2 Assistant Facilities managers and 8 Facilities Supervisors. It is a true multi service facilities management opportunity!
Each of the peripheral sites provides some very unique clinical environments, although all are busy, because of the way the sites are structured they have a very supportive feel to them. This role has been created following recent expansion in the services across the peripherals and also the future planned onward expansion of services being created at all 3 sites, additional theatres for elective treatments, spinal speciality unit, community diagnostic centre, Rob Burrows Motor Neurone research centre as some examples.
For the successful candidate the role will provide a highly rewarding opportunity to manage a range of operational services to patients and staff across 3 different sites. It is full time and permanent, based Monday to Friday 8-4pm, but with need to ensure services out side of core hours are being maintained. The role will also have an expectation to be part of the on call rota for the facilities department. (please see attached job description for more details)
The ability to drive and have access to own transport is an essential requirement, as provision of in person attendance at all 3 sites is a requirement of the role.
