Role Description

The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day distribution and warehouse activities to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely handling of FMCG, OTC medicines, cosmetics, and toiletries.

This full-time, on-site role, based in Harrow, involves managing inventory control, coordinating logistics, monitoring order processing, and optimizing workflows to meet service and quality standards.

The individual will lead and support operations staff, implement and refine standard operating procedures, and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and ethical business practices.

The role also includes tracking performance metrics, identifying process improvements, collaborating with procurement, sales, and customer service teams, and supporting continuous growth initiatives aligned with the company’s values of integrity and excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong operations management skills, including experience in warehouse, inventory, and logistics coordination within distribution or wholesale environments.

• Competence in planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks, with the ability to optimize processes and manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced setting.

• Leadership and people management capabilities, with experience in supervising teams, supporting professional development, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills, including proficiency with data analysis, performance metrics, and using insights to drive operational improvements.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and build strong relationships with suppliers and customers.

• Familiarity with health, safety, and regulatory requirements relevant to FMCG, OTC medicines, cosmetics, and toiletries distribution.

• Proficiency with operations-related software and tools (e.g., inventory management systems, ERP platforms, and standard office applications).

• Relevant experience in wholesale, distribution, or supply chain operations; a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations management, or a related field is advantageous.
