Working pattern: Full-time | 40 hours per week | 7am - 4pm | Every Friday fortnight off.

We're looking for an organised and safety-focused Person Organising Work (POW) to support our Hard Services, projects and subcontractor teams at Sellafield. You will coordinate the planning and safe delivery of works, ensuring tasks are properly scoped, effectively supervised and completed in line with site procedures.

Role Responsibilities

  • Scope and plan works, defining task requirements, delivery methods, competency needs and appropriate Safe Systems of Work.
  • Compile compliant work packs, including risk assessments, method statements, permits, isolations, drawings and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate enabling services and specialist support, including scaffolding, health physics monitoring, asbestos surveys and subcontractors.
  • Provide and coordinate effective task supervision, ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Liaise with clients, operational teams and subcontractors to monitor progress, resolve issues and maintain accurate records.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:

  • Experience of preparing or reviewing risk assessments and method statements, with a good understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Strong planning, organisational, IT and stakeholder management skills.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certifications due to the Health and Safety knowledge required.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within an electrical, mechanical, civil engineering or facilities management environment.
  • Knowledge of Permit-to-Work systems and Safe Systems of Work.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or a higher-level health and safety qualification is desirable, although training can be provided.
  • A proactive and structured approach, with the confidence to coordinate teams and supervise the safe delivery of tasks.
  • A commitment to operational excellence, customer service and continuous improvement.
