About the Role
We are seeking an experienced PR Corporate & Communications Lead to shape and protect corporate reputation, strengthen stakeholder trust, and drive a proactive communications strategy across a complex external environment.
This role will lead corporate communications, PR, reputation management, crisis readiness, and strategic stakeholder engagement, ensuring the organisation maintains credibility and supports key business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Communications & Reputation
- Lead corporate reputation and communications strategy
- Own external communications, media relations, and PR activity
- Develop and manage corporate messaging and narrative
- Provide communications guidance to senior leadership
Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage relationships with media, government bodies, local authorities, communities, industry groups, and strategic partners
- Drive communications that support operational delivery and strengthen stakeholder confidence
Issues & Crisis Management
- Lead crisis communications planning and response
- Develop escalation frameworks, media statements, Q&As, and response strategies
- Monitor emerging issues, public sentiment, and reputational risks
Strategic Positioning
- Drive thought leadership and corporate positioning across key areas such as sustainability, social impact, safety, trust, and culture
- Support executive profiling, investor announcements, and major business initiatives
Leadership
- Lead a small team and manage external PR agencies and specialist suppliers
Skills & Experience
- Significant experience leading Corporate Communications, PR, or Corporate Affairs within complex organisations
- Strong media relations and reputation management expertise
- Proven experience handling high-profile issues and crisis communications
- Experience advising senior leadership and managing stakeholder relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-profile environments
