Principal Electrical Engineer - Water
Do you have a passion for Electrical Engineering?
Are you driven to create engineering solutions for the unprecedented climate, environmental, and efficiency challenges facing our communities? If so, come and join us at Stantec!
We are excited to continue our rapid growth journey in Northern Ireland and look forward to further expanding our technical capabilities in the months ahead. With a robust pipeline of local work for key clients such as NI Water and Uisce Éireann, alongside supporting the wider Stantec UK business across major AMP8 capital programmes and the Scottish Water Enterprise, there has never been a better time to join our team.
We are currently seeking experienced Electrical or EICA Engineers to join our established Water team in Belfast.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will be involved across the entire project lifecycle—from initial feasibility studies and optioneering through to detailed design, construction support, and site investigations. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate on diverse projects across the water, wastewater, energy, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.
As an experienced Electrical Engineer, you will work closely with project managers, technical leads, design teams, clients, supply chain partners, and contractors to deliver exceptional outcomes. You will leverage your understanding of water treatment processes and ICA infrastructure to assess existing assets, develop robust EICA designs, and drive sustainable project delivery.
YOUR IMPACT
By joining our Belfast team, you aren’t just designing systems—you are safeguarding the future of Northern Ireland’s water and environmental infrastructure.
Your expertise will directly contribute to critical infrastructure delivery across the UK and Ireland, turning complex climate and technical challenges into sustainable, resilient realities for clients like NI Water and Uisce Éireann. Whether you are optimizing a major wastewater treatment plant, upgrading critical power and control systems, or mentoring the next generation of local engineers, your work will ensure that our local communities have the resilient, efficient, and clean resources they need to thrive for decades to come.
