Job summary
THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT UNTIL 31ST MARCH 2027 DUE TO FUNDING. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR THE SECONDMENT POSITION, YOU MUST OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM YOUR CURRENT LINE MANAGER PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR THIS POST. We areseeking an experienced and dynamic leader to head a team of policy specialists and drive the successful delivery of an ambitious programme of work.
This role will lead policy development, oversee complex programmes and projects, and ensure delivery against organisational priorities. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in programme and project management, alongside significant experience of leading and developing high-performing teams.
They will be an inspiring leader, able to motivate, support and empower others while managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes. A key aspect of the role will be championing a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture, fostering collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across the team.

Job responsibilities
As part of this role, there will be a requirement to work 1 days per month from our Cardiff office. Additional attendance may be required, for example, for key meetings, training, events, or to support service delivery. Applicants should ensure they are able to meet this requirement.
