What will you be doing?
Covering the South, travel required
The successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio of engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Responsibilities include managing project programmes, forecasts, variations, early warnings, and commercial performance, while identifying and mitigating risks.
You will act as the primary client contact, coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, installation, and commercial teams to ensure successful project delivery.
The role also involves supporting bids and quotations, maintaining contractual compliance, producing regular progress reports, and overseeing health and safety requirements, including CDM responsibilities, site inspections, risk assessments, and ensuring all project activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and client expectations.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Project Manager within a medium or large organisation, or 4 years as an Assistant Project Manager or similar role.
- An appreciation of electrical installations and control systems including, but not limited to, control panels/MCCs, PLC, SCADA, instrumentation is preferred.
- ONC/HNC/Degree in electrical, measurement or control engineering or related discipline.
- SSSTS/SMSTS and CDM principal contractor qualification
