The Opportunity
Working under the guidance of the Workstream Lead β Resilience Programme, accountable for the delivery and project management requirements of the Programme Resilience workstream that comprises a number of projects designed to strategically provide resilience into the programme, remove single point vulnerabilities and ultimately accelerate mission.
This is a hands-on delivery role within a highly regulated environment, offering exposure to complex engineering, remote handling capability, and decommissioning support functions.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end project delivery: Lead and manage multiple projects within the Programme Resilience workstream from initiation through to closure.
Planning & coordination: Direct project teams, plan activities, schedule work, and monitor progress against objectives.
Financial & performance management: Oversee budgets, costs, resources, and KPIs (earned value, schedule, and risk indicators).
Resource & supply chain management: Identify and deploy appropriate internal and external resources, including use of the supply chain.
Governance & compliance: Apply project management processes and ensure adherence to EHS&Q standards.
Risk, change & controls: Manage risks, contingencies, and scope changes, ensuring all changes are controlled and auditable.
Stakeholder engagement & escalation: Provide updates, escalate risks/issues, and support the Workstream Lead with key decisions.
Commercial & contractual oversight: Work with commercial teams on contract variations, early warnings, and supply chain/client management.
Essential experience:
- Minimum 5+ yearsβ project management experience within engineering, construction, or nuclear
- Ability to deliver complex projects and problem-solve effectively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Sellafield experience
- APM Qualified or higher (or recognised equivalent)
- Long term experience working within the same company/projects
- Degree qualification in applicable disciplines of project management, engineering, business, construction management or related technical discipline required.
Additional requirements:
- SC clearance (or eligible) and British Sole National
- Ability to work in the office minimum 3 days per week
