The Role

As an SAP Finance Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP Finance (FI) solutions across core finance processes including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Banking, and Financial Close. You will work closely with finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient end-to-end operations across SAP S/4HANA or ECC environments.

Your responsibilities:

The SAP Finance Functional Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP Finance (FI) solutions to meet business requirements across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Banking, and Financial Closing processes. The consultant collaborates with finance stakeholders to translate business needs into SAP functionality, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient end‑to‑end finance operations. The role involves system configuration, process optimization, integration with other modules (MM, SD, CO), issue resolution, testing, documentation, and deployment support in SAP S/4HANA or ECC

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• SAP finance provides project technical/functional expertise in the SAP application module areas of Financial Accounting and Controlling SAP ECC, Consolidations, GL, AP, AR, Cost Center Accounting, and Profit Center Accounting.
• Perform the necessary analysis and consultations to Identify business requirements, solution scope and related benefits.
• Work directly with clients to gather an understanding of their business needs and assist the client in the configuration and implementation of the software system.
• Support in preparing and analysing project plans, documentation.
• Implementation of implementation of SAP S4 Finance (Corporate Finance & Reporting, Chart of accounts, GL, AR/AP Cash management, Treasury & Risk Management/Trading integration, receivables Management, Contract & Lease Management, group Reporting, Central Finance.
• Responsible for the design, build and implementation of complex solutions in FI/CO modules from an application and business process standpoint.
• Partner with key stakeholders to transform business processes to improve key performance indicators (KPI) in finance.
• Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate Retail system solutions.
• Identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements including the facilitation of workshops to collect business requirements.
• Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve software problems.
• Works closely with the client IT organization and client Process Owners to ensure system and process integrity of the Template and to drive adherence to the template - ensuring that only critical localization requirements are approved.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

• Strong experience in working with IT Services or products.
• Define and own the end-to-end Finance solution architecture for SAP S/4HANA program.
• Drive design decisions aligned with S/4HANA best practices and enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and technical teams for solution alignment.
• Support complex issue resolution and provide architectural direction during delivery.
• Very strong and effective communications skills
• Develop positive relationships with other business partners, both internal and external, ensuring best practice advice is shared and maximum efficiency achieved
• Regular contact required with Offshore teams as and when required to update them on current issues and decisions, seeking support for issues that affect the success of the contract’s on-going deliverables.
