About the role
We are looking for an SAP Technical Consultant / SAP Basis Consultant to join our UK team.
This is not only a traditional SAP Basis role. The position includes a mix of internal technical work, client-facing support, SAP HR/Payroll system maintenance, SuccessFactors support, integrations and troubleshooting across different platforms.
You will work with a varied client base and support SAP ECC, ECP, S/4HANA, SuccessFactors and related cloud/integration technologies. This role would suit someone who enjoys solving technical problems, learning new technologies and working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
You will be involved in:
- Supporting and maintaining SAP ECC, ECP and SAP S/4HANA environments.
- SAP Basis administration, including patching, monitoring, transports, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Supporting SAP HR and Payroll systems.
- Working with SuccessFactors instances and related integrations.
- Configuring and troubleshooting SAProuter, SNC, certificates and SAP connectivity.
- Supporting secure communication and authentication, including SSL/TLS certificates, OAuth 2.0 and token-based authentication.
- Working with SAP BTP, cloud connectivity and security configuration.
- Supporting RFC connections, ALE scenarios and IDoc processing.
- Assisting with SSO, identity management and integration-related activities.
- Working directly with clients to investigate and resolve issues.
Required education
- Higher education degree or diploma in an IT, software development or related technical field.
Preferred experience
The ideal candidate will have experience with some or all of the following:
- SAP ECC, ECP and SAP S/4HANA administration.
- SAP Basis support and troubleshooting.
- Windows Server and Linux support.
- SAProuter, SNC and certificate renewal.
- SSL/TLS, OAuth 2.0 and secure connectivity.
- SAP BTP administration and support.
- RFC, ALE and IDoc troubleshooting.
- SuccessFactors technical support, integrations and APIs.
- SAP Integration Suite, SAP PI/PO or Dell Boomi.
- Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, SSO and MS SQL Server.
