The Portfolio Management Operations Group sits within the broader Portfolio Management department and is responsible for leading new fund launches and solution changes, driving and managing improvements to the investment process and associated technology, and supporting department planning and communication. The Senior Associate, PM Operations will be responsible for facilitating a variety of different investment changes such as strategy transitions, process improvements, and managing various team projects from inception to completion. This will require maintaining positive cross-department relationships to achieve successful outcomes and identification of opportunities for continued process improvement.
Responsibilities:
This position will report into the Manager, PM Operations and will be tasked with:
- Managing projects in support of the Portfolio Management Team to enhance the investment process and associated technology
- Coordinating with the global operations and technology teams to prioritize and execute on initiatives
- Proactively identifying barriers to project success and resolving or escalating
- Facilitating changes to investment strategies and processes with the portfolio managers in the region
- Supporting portfolio management with account launches, closures, and transitions
- Cultivating strong working relationships across a variety of functional areas and managing through influence
- Documenting and communicating complex processes within the Portfolio Management team
- Identifying operational risks, designing and implementing solutions
- Developing expertise related to investment management
Qualifications
- Degree, or equivalent, in an analytical subject such as a science, engineering, finance or economics.
- Experience of consulting, product management, or project management (preferably with exposure to financial services-related projects)
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build productive cross-functional relationships globally
- Excellent quantitative problem-solving and analytic skills
- Able to work equally well in a team environment and independently
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Experience with Atlassian products, JIRA and Confluence, is preferred
