We're looking for two experienced Senior Planning Officers to join our high-performing Development Management Team at Durham County Council.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage complex planning applications and work on major developments across housing, commercial, infrastructure, renewable energy, and minerals and waste projects. You'll play a key role in shaping sustainable growth across County Durham while supporting and mentoring junior colleagues.
What we're looking for
- RTPI-qualified planner with a relevant degree
- Significant experience in development management
- Strong knowledge of planning legislation, policy and procedures
- Experience managing complex planning projects
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
