Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Premium Processing Technician with strong expertise in Energy Lines of Business (LOB), London Market Insurance, and Insurance Brokerage Operations. The role involves end-to-end premium processing, technical accounting, reconciliation, and settlement activities while ensuring compliance with London Market and Lloyd's procedures.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Energy Insurance LOB (Upstream, Downstream, Offshore, Power, Renewables, Construction Energy).
- Proven experience in London Market Insurance and Lloyd's Market operations.
- Background working with Insurance Brokers, Lloyd's Brokers, MGA, or Insurance Carriers.
- Expertise in Premium Processing, Technical Accounting, and Insurance Operations.
- Experience handling:
- Premiums, endorsements, adjustments, cancellations, and return premiums.
- Premium accounting and brokerage calculations.
- Cash allocation, premium settlement, and reconciliation.
- Bordereaux processing and accounting controls.
- Knowledge of LPANs, slips, cover notes, and London Market documentation.
- Strong understanding of insurance accounting principles and premium lifecycle management.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reconciliations).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with systems such as Eclipse, Global XB, OpenTWINS, Brokasure, TAM, or Acturis.
- CII/ACII or relevant insurance qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and validate premium transactions for Energy accounts.
- Perform premium, cash, and brokerage reconciliations.
- Manage premium settlements and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Support brokers, underwriters, insurers, and finance teams on premium-related queries.
- Ensure compliance with London Market, Lloyd's, and internal operational standards.
- Maintain accurate records, audit trails, and reporting documentation.
