or.As a Senior Project Controller, you will provide integrated project controls expertise across planning, scheduling, cost management, risk, change control, and performance reporting. Working closely with Project Managers, Programme Managers, commercial teams, and customers, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual and governance requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project performance against cost, schedule, and resource baselines.
- Produce accurate project controls reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics for internal and customer stakeholders.
- Lead earned value management (EVM) activities, including performance analysis and forecasting.
- Support risk and opportunity management processes, ensuring effective mitigation plans are implemented.
- Manage change control processes and assess the impact of scope, schedule, and cost changes.
- Facilitate project reviews, governance meetings, and milestone assessments.
- Provide schedule and cost analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and support junior project controllers and project controls professionals.
- Ensure compliance with project management standards, defence regulations, and company procedures
Essential Requirements:
- Significant experience in project controls, project planning, or programme controls within the defence, aerospace, engineering, or highly regulated sectors.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling methodologies and tools such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Experience of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and reporting.
- Proven ability to analyse complex project data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience supporting large-scale, multi-disciplinary programmes.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance (SC).
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working on Ministry of Defence (MOD) programmes.
- Knowledge of Defence Standards and government project governance frameworks.
- Professional qualifications such as APM, PMI, or Association for Project Management Project Controls certification.
- Experience with risk management tools and integrated project controls systems.
- Degree qualified in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
