Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare or working on the Staff Bank within these organisations. We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Senior Sexual Health Nurse to join our caring and progressive team in Eastbourne and Hastings. We're a close team but we're never exclusive, if you can bring a professional approach and fresh ideas we would love to hear from you. You'll use your clinical skills to: Deliver nurse-led clinics. Shift co-ordination.
Provide holistic, person-centred assessment, treatment, and education. Support partner notification, safeguarding, and health improvement initiatives. Supervise and mentor junior staff and students, helping build a supportive learning culture. Take part in service development and quality improvement work that reflects our CARE values --Compassionate, Aspirational, Responsive and Excellent.

Main duties of the job
Our team delivers high-quality evidence-based care to people to support their sexual health needs. You'll be part of an enthusiastic and passionate team dedicated to keeping people in Kent and Medway safe and well, now and in later life, by providing contraception, treatment for sexually-transmitted infections, and advice and support to maintain healthy relationships. You'll provide sound clinical judgement and leadership to support our team to safely deliver patient-centred care, and consistently monitor quality and progress in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Person Specification
Qualifications, training and experience
Essential
You'll need to have a Level 6 Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant subject i.e. Nursing You will also hold the STIF Intermediate/ combined qualification You'll need to have experience of managing complex caseloads and supporting/ mentoring others. You will be a registered health care professional with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Knowledge and skills

You'll need have sound communication skills in order to understand and communicate both verbally and in writing. You will need to have a customer focussed approach which is essential to provide patients, clients and their families with the best possible experience Represent the Trust when talking to and working with patients, colleagues and visitors. Work together with colleagues and other teams across the Trust. You will need to be able to be able to use IT systems and databases. Working Environment
