NHS Highland is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker to join our integrated Adult Social Care team in Lochaber. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role within a supportive, multidisciplinary service delivering high-quality, person-centred care across a diverse rural and urban area.

You will support the Social Work Team Manager in delivering professional leadership, overseeing complex casework, and ensuring statutory duties are met in line with legislation including Adult Support and Protection, Adults with Incapacity, and Self-Directed Support.

The role includes supervision of staff, allocation and oversight of workload, and contributing to service improvement and practice development while maintaining a small caseload of complex cases.

We are looking for a qualified Social Worker registered with the SSSC, with significant post-qualifying experience and strong knowledge of statutory social work practice. You should demonstrate leadership ability, sound professional judgement, and a commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable adults.

Based in Fort William, this post offers the opportunity to work across the Lochaber area. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
