About The Role
As a Senior Estates Surveyor, you will be a lead professional within our Property Management service, ensuring proactive and efficient management of the Council’s estate. You’ll deliver expert advice on acquisitions, disposals, valuations, and asset management, supporting strategic objectives and regeneration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver acquisition, disposal, valuation, and asset management activities in a commercial and innovative way.
- Undertake asset valuations for financial reporting purposes.
- Manage a varied caseload of estates management and asset valuation work, supporting the Council’s Asset Management Plan.
- Contribute to regeneration and transformation programmes, identifying opportunities for rationalisation and investment.
- Lead project teams and manage external consultants and contractors.
- Mentor colleagues through their RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).
- Present at Council meetings and produce high-quality reports and briefings.
- Full Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) with several years’ experience.
- RICS Registered Valuer with evidence of CPD compliance.
- Strong knowledge of asset management planning processes.
- Significant experience in estates management, valuations, and working with consultants/contractors.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and deliver positive change within a diverse property portfolio.
