- To work as a member of the Therapy team, independently assessing and treating a designated caseload of patients through individual and group work, as appropriate.
- The post holder will be responsible for coordinating a specific area of therapy for patients within the relevant team, under the guidance of qualified therapy staff. This may require the post holder to work as a lone therapy practitioner at times, within agreed guidelines, protocols and competency frameworks.
- The post holder will provide skilled support to registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other therapy staff in delivering technical therapy interventions to patients in a variety of clinical settings.
- Therapy intervention will be provided in line with agreed treatment plans, guidelines and protocols, with the aim of promoting independence and supporting patients to achieve a level of function consistent with their abilities.
- The Trust is committed to providing a 7-day therapy service. The role therefore includes participation in weekend working and may include evening work, according to service need.
- This reflects the existing purpose of the role, which includes independent assessment and treatment of a designated caseload, support to registered therapists, lone working at times, and participation in 7-day therapy provision.
