Site Manager
Southern Water Framework – Chichester, West Sussex
Within our Environment Business Division (Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Engineering), we are seeking a Site Manager to support the delivery of water and wastewater projects across the Southern Water Framework.
In this role, you will contribute to the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects, helping achieve strong outcomes across programme, cost, safety, and quality.

Site Manager
Southern Water Framework – Chichester, West Sussex
Within our Environment Business Division (Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Engineering), we are seeking a Site Manager to support the delivery of water and wastewater projects across the Southern Water Framework.
In this role, you will contribute to the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects, helping achieve strong outcomes across programme, cost, safety, and quality.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading day-to-day site management, including developing, monitoring, and delivering the programme
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental (HS&E), and quality standards in line with company procedures
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date site diaries and project records
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and subcontractors
- Producing weekly and monthly progress reports
- Managing sections of work, including supervising and supporting the site team and supply chain
- Reporting progress and performance to the Project Manager
- Ensuring risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work systems, site inductions, and safety briefings are completed
- Carrying out daily, weekly, and monthly inspections in line with Business Management System (BMS) requirements
- Ensuring quality assurance (QA) processes and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) are developed, maintained, and followed

- Experience working at Site Manager level (typically 5+ years or equivalent experience)
- Relevant industry qualifications (HNC/HND or higher, or equivalent)
- Understanding of engineering and construction principles and practices
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards
- Familiarity with water and wastewater treatment processes or similar sectors
- Experience applying CDM health and safety responsibilities, including managing design and technical risk
- Relevant certifications such as CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, IOSH Environmental (or equivalent)
- Confidence using IT systems, including MS Excel and document management tools
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Experience supporting, coordinating, or leading teams
- Temporary Works Coordinator certification
- Water hygiene training
- EUSR (1 & 2 USC)
