Solicitor – Housing Management | Sanctuary Group

Worcester | Hybrid, 1 day per week in the office | £56,110 – £59,059 | 35 hours per week

Sanctuary Group is looking to appoint a Solicitor to join its Legal Services team in Worcester.

This is an opportunity for a solicitor with experience in housing, housing litigation or related contentious work to take on a varied in-house caseload within one of the UK's largest housing organisations. You'll manage your own caseload while working closely with colleagues across the organisation and providing practical legal advice to non-legal stakeholders.

The role

  • Manage your own caseload of contentious and non-contentious housing management work
  • Provide legal advice and support across Sanctuary Housing Association and its subsidiaries
  • Work closely with colleagues across the organisation, translating legal advice into clear, practical options for non-legal stakeholders
  • Liaise with external legal providers and support the management of legal spend
  • Contribute to projects and the continued development of the Group's legal services
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and help ensure the legal service delivers value for money

About you

You will be a qualified solicitor, barrister or equivalent with proven experience delivering legal services and, ideally, experience of housing litigation or another relevant contentious area. You'll need to be comfortable managing your own caseload, advising non-legal colleagues and working across a varied workload.

Why consider it?

Sanctuary provides homes and care for more than 250,000 people across England and Scotland, with around 14,000 colleagues across the Group.

You'll join an established Legal Services team in a role offering the combination of housing and litigation work you would expect, alongside broader commercial and advisory exposure.

The role is based in Worcester with one day per week in the office, providing a good balance of collaboration and home working.

Salary: £56,110, rising to £59,059 after 12 months subject to satisfactory performance.
