The Role

The Solution Architect is responsible for designing end‑to‑end technology solutions that meet business requirements, align with enterprise architecture standards, and ensure scalability, performance, and security. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, guiding development teams, evaluating technology options, and ensuring successful delivery of complex digital and transformation initiatives.


Your responsibilities:

  • Develop end‑to‑end architecture covering applications, data, integration, security, and infrastructure.
  • Create high-level and detailed solution designs, architecture diagrams, data flows, and interface specifications.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with enterprise standards.
  • Evaluate technology options and recommend optimal architectural choices.
  • Work closely with business leaders, product owners, delivery managers, and engineering teams to understand requirements.
  • Present architecture proposals and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Perform architecture reviews, solution assurance, and risk assessments.
  • Guide development teams on implementation best practices and architectural patterns.


Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Deep understanding and expertise of legacy technologies and/or platforms including mainframes
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in solution architecture, with deep understanding of cloud hosting concepts and implementations.
  • Experience in converting legacy applications to containerized microservice design applications.
  • Deep understanding of domain driven design and data mesh principles
  • Hands-on experience on design, build and deployment of applications based on .Net MVC, Java, Angular, React, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and event-based architecture.
  • Conceptual clarity around front-end development
  • Hands on experience in implementing API, Micro-services and application security
  • Strong in architecture design patterns, experience with secure interoperability standards and methods, architecture tools and process.
  • Hands-on experience setting up DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), automated testing & deployment pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills - has good skills in working with business stakeholders
  • Knowledge in Pension/Annuity, preferably in UK Workplace pension.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of agile principles, and practices
