The Opportunity
As Sous Chef, you’ll be the right hand to the Head Chef — leading the kitchen team, inspiring excellence, and ensuring every dish is delivered with flair and precision. You’ll play a key role in shaping menus, mentoring junior chefs, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and lead service during busy periods
- Support the Head Chef in menu planning, costing, and stock control
- Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff
- Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and portion control across all dishes
- Maintain strict food hygiene, health & safety, and allergen protocols
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service

Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie in a premium or lifestyle hospitality setting
- A passion for modern, seasonal cuisine and a flair for presentation
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Calm, organised, and solutions-focused under pressure
- Culinary qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) are a plus
