The Role

Under the supervision of the Head of Data & Analytics, the Senior Business Intelligence Developer’s primary role will be to expand the company’s use of data as a strategic enabler of company and group objectives, highlighting the importance of their work in driving success.

Your role will involve gathering user requirements, preparing data, and developing reports and dashboards accordingly while partnering effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across the business. You will build, own, and maintain Power BI solutions that transform data into knowledge and provide insights via dashboards and reports.

Additionally, you will leverage business and technical knowledge to develop data models that integrate data from multiple sources across teams and business areas. Your contribution to our broader IT strategy and objectives will help ensure our team can fulfill our promises throughout the data and analytics lifecycle, reinforcing their strategic importance.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define new, forward-thinking business intelligence and data management strategies that align with broader business needs.
  • Identify gaps, propose solutions, and improve processes, governance, and data quality.
  • Partner with end users to translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements, and interface with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of company reporting and analytics.
  • Manage requests for data from internal and external clients, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Build and maintain BI and Analytics solutions that transform data into
  • knowledge and deliver insights through interactive, easy-to-understand dashboards and reports.
  • Create curated data sets from data marts, data lakes, and data bricks, delta lakes, etc., for consumption.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain an enterprise-ready Power BI cloud environment (Azure Portal).
  • Maintain report security through Azure AD groups.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of working experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or a combination of over 5 years directly related experience.
  • Working experience with continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Working experience developing Power BI in an enterprise environment required.
  • Working experience working in Azure, AWS, or other cloud technologies.
  • Working experience with ETL / ELT tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory).
  • Working experience with data warehouse concepts and OLAP cubes (SSAS).
  • Expertise in writing and tuning SQL.
  • Databricks, Microsoft Portal, and Microsoft Fabrics experience a plus.
  • Manufacturing industry experience a plus.
