About the Role
We are currently recruiting experienced ST3+ Emergency Medicine Doctors on behalf of NHS Trusts across the UK. These positions are ideal for doctors with Emergency Department experience who are looking to develop their careers within a supportive NHS environment.
As a Middle Grade/Registrar-level Emergency Medicine Doctor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality emergency care to adult and paediatric patients, working within multidisciplinary teams in busy and dynamic Emergency Departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
- Lead and participate in the management of critically ill and injured patients.
- Manage patients within Majors, Resuscitation, Minors, and Paediatric Emergency areas.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide supervision and support to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in departmental teaching, audit, and quality improvement activities.
- Contribute to the emergency on-call rota, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Essential Requirements
- GMC Registration with a licence to practise.
- Minimum of 3 years postgraduate clinical experience.
- At least 12 months' experience in Emergency Medicine.
- Experience working at ST3, Registrar, Middle Grade, or equivalent level.
- Current ALS certification.
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Requirements
- MRCEM completed or in progress.
- ATLS, APLS, or equivalent certifications.
- Previous NHS experience.
- Experience managing major trauma and paediatric emergencies.
- Interest in teaching, leadership, audit, or quality improvement.
