Sub-Contractor - Salesforce Technical Architect, Data Migration - UK

We have an opportunity for a Salesforce Technical Architect with deep expertise

in data migration, ETL, and Salesforce data architecture.

The Salesforce Technical Architect, Data Migration leads end-to-end data migration and integration initiatives across Salesforce and connected enterprise systems. You'll partner

closely with Salesforce, integration, and business teams to deliver seamless

data transitions, resolve complex data challenges, and support scalable, data-

driven solutions.

What You'll Do

Migration strategy and design

• Plan, design, and lead end-to-end data migration projects, including

extraction, transformation, loading, and validation.

• Design target data models and migration approaches that account for

data volumes, ownership and sharing, and integration patterns.

Build and automation

• Build, configure, and run ETL jobs to move and transform data across

Salesforce, ERP, and external databases.• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Apex, Python, Shell,

PowerShell, or similar) for data processing, cleansing, and quality checks.

Data quality and validation

• Profile, map, and transform data to meet business and technical

requirements.

• Write and optimize complex SQL and SOQL queries for validation,

migration, and reconciliation.

• Enforce best practices for data quality, security, and governance

throughout the migration lifecycle.

Cutover and collaboration

• Troubleshoot and resolve migration issues, including data mismatches,

performance bottlenecks, and integrity errors.

• Coordinate cutovers and validate migrated data with Salesforce,

integration, and business teams.

• Document migration procedures, scripts, mappings, and reconciliation

steps for repeatability and compliance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of direct experience in data migration, ETL, or database

engineering roles

• 2+ years working with Salesforce data, including SOQL, Apex, and the

Salesforce data model

• Strong expertise in relational database architecture (Salesforce, Oracle,

SQL Server, or similar)

• Advanced SQL, including query optimization, joins, and stored procedures
• Proven track record on data migration projects, including reconciliation

and cutover planning

• Hands-on scripting in Python, Shell, PowerShell, or similar• Hands-on experience building ETL jobs with tools such as Informatica,

MuleSoft, Talend, Jitterbit, or Data Loader, plus APIs and bulk data

processing

• Active use of AI tools in your delivery work. You should be able to describe

specifically how they've changed the way you work.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related

field, or equivalent experience

Preferred

• Salesforce Data Architect certification
• Salesforce Platform Developer I or Administrator certification
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
