Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship – Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe Are you passionate about making a difference with children as they embark on their educational journey? We seek an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice in our welcoming primary school.
Key Details Salary: £8.58 increasing to National Minimum Wage after 12 monthsWorking hours: Monday to Friday between 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and until 4:30 pm on a Wednesday (CPD afternoon) 33.5 hours per weekLocation: Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe, Sutcliffe Avenue, Grimsby, DN33 1AWApprenticeship Details – 16 months expected duration to complete, working towards your Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship. (All learning is delivered online/ remote).
Training Provider: LMP Education (rated 1st best UK training provider) As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you’ll be an essential part of the classroom team, helping young learners grow and thrive every day.
You’ll support both the teacher and pupils, while developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed for a successful career in education.Your key responsibilities will include:Supporting classroom activities and supervising childrenAssisting pupils with their learning and developmentProviding additional help to children who need it mostLearning classroom behaviour strategies and teaching techniquesHelping to plan and prepare sessionsEncouraging pupil independence, inclusion, and engagement in learningSupporting children’s emotional, social, and physical well-being Skills & Qualities:A genuine passion for working with childrenFriendly, kind, and caring personalityTeam player with a can-do attitudeReliable, punctual, and organisedStrong communication skillsWillingness to learn and grow professionallyDesirable:Previous experience working with children (not essential)Confidence in your ability to support learningEntry Requirements:GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at grades A*-C / 9-4Successful applicants will need to complete an Enhanced DBS check About the EmployerLocated in Grimsby, Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe is a large, inclusive primary school for children aged 3–11.
