About Xceptor

Data is at the heart of everything we do: Xceptor has been designed around data manipulation in its broadest sense. We source data from wherever it flows. We curate, normalise, validate, repair, and enrich that data so it reaches its destination in a reliable and consistent format. Data coming out of Xceptor is data our clients can trust.

We are recognised as an expert in the Financial Services vertical, which strongly aligns with Business Users in Middle and Back-Office teams. We enable these users to solve their data challenges by themselves, rather than through a technology-led project.

Reporting into the Head of Marketing, you'll join our wider marketing team working closely with all marketing members, by taking the lead across marketing technology, data, automation, reporting performance metrics, and campaign operations, whilst managing a marketing operations specialist and influencing stakeholders across sales, revenue operations, CRM, and finance. You'll work with established technology and CRM environment and focus on building solutions on improving performance and efficiency, targeting and commercial insight. This role has heavy involvement in building and maintaining dashboards to continually improve reporting.

We're looking for a Senior Marketing Operations Manager to own the systems, processes, and data that power our marketing engine. • Own and optimise the marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g. HubSpot), including workflows, lead scoring, segmentation, and data hygiene, so that the marketing team operates self sufficiently.
  • Design and maintain lead management processes (capture, routing, nurturing, and handover to sales), ensuring clean attribution throughout.
  • Build and maintain reporting and dashboards that track campaign performance, pipeline contribution, and marketing ROI, and translate the numbers into recommendations.
  • Own marketing budget tracking: monitor spend against budget across campaigns and vendors, maintain accurate forecasts, flag variances, and produce regular budget reporting for the Head of Marketing.
  • Manage the end-to-end operational delivery of campaigns, ensuring assets, audiences, and tracking are set up correctly and on time.
  • Improve and document marketing processes and workflows, removing bottlenecks and creating scalable, repeatable ways of working.
  • Oversee data governance and compliance (including GDPR) across marketing systems.
  • Line-manage, coach, and develop the Junior Marketing Operations Executive, including campaign management of marketing campaigns, setting priorities and supporting their growth.
  • Partner with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Finance to align systems, data, reporting, and budget processes.

🎯 Who we're looking for:

  • Several years' experience in marketing operations, with demonstrable ownership of a marketing automation platform and CRM.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable building reports, interpreting funnel and attribution data, and presenting insight to stakeholders.
  • Experience managing or tracking a marketing budget, with strong attention to financial detail.
  • Solid understanding of lead management, campaign operations, and the marketing-to-sales handover.
  • Experience improving processes and managing projects across teams.
  • Some line-management or mentoring experience, or clear readiness to step up.
  • Working knowledge of data protection / GDPR as it applies to marketing.
  • Must have experience in working with HubSpot and Salesforce
  • Must show experience in using tools to improve productivity and efficiency

Desirable

  • Experience in B2B, SaaS, or fintech.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. HubSpot, Marketo).
