Are you ready to take the next step in your clinical career? An exciting and exclusive opportunity awaits experienced Anaesthetic and Recovery practitioners who are ready to lead with passion and purpose.
At Royal Preston Hospital, we’re looking for motivated, compassionate, and forward-thinking professionals to join us as Anaesthetic & Recovery Team Leaders in our vibrant Sharoe Green Theatre Unit. We specialise in Obstetric & Gynaecology surgery, and support our colleagues in Colorectal procedures. This is your chance to make a real impact—both on patient care and on the professional development of those around you.
Whether you're a Registered Nurse with an Anaesthetic qualification or a qualified Operating Department Practitioner (ODP), this role is your opportunity to lead from the front. You’ll guide a talented and committed team, bringing your clinical expertise and leadership skills to life in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.
As a Team Leader, you’ll play a central role in coordinating elective and emergency services. You’ll collaborate closely with anaesthetists, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, high-quality care for every patient every time.
We're Seeking Individuals Who
Bring extensive experience in Anaesthetic and Recovery care
Possess a natural leadership presence, along with excellent communication and influencing skills
Thrive under pressure and inspire confidence in others
Are driven to innovate, embrace change, and champion best practices in patient care
In return, we’ll support your professional journey with a rich variety of learning and development opportunities, ensuring you continue to grow as both a clinician and a leader.
This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to lead with impact, inspire with integrity, and grow with a team that values your expertise.
Are you ready to lead the way? Join us and help shape the future of Anaesthetic and Recovery care at Royal Preston Hospital.
We have 10000 fantastic people working hard to deliver quality services to our patients. Whatever your role, you help look after 370,000 people in our local area & give specialist care to 1.5 million people across Lancashire & Cumbria.
Working with us gives you the knowledge and sense of pride that every activity you do genuinely does make a difference to support our patients & staff, ensuring we keep thriving & delivering outstanding healthcare right across our local towns.
You’ll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, meet fab people & do things you’d never have done. You’ll learn about working in a hospital, interacting with people from all different roles to build skills & enhance your career path.
You’ll make an impact, be challenged to think differently, be bold & help innovate to keep improving things. Everything we do centres around family care and enhancing their experience which means your role is pivotal and something really to be proud of.
