Job summary Secondment/fixed term contract opportunity for Mental Health Liaison Team South Team Manager. Reporting to the Deputy Care Group Operational Manager, the post holder will lead on and manage all aspects of the operational duties of the Team / Service line within the specified care group. The post holder will carry out operational duties to ensure consistent management processes and practices are in place across the service line/team. Working alongside the clinical lead for the team, both roles will provide supportive leadership, promoting safe, effective practice, ensuring accountability at all levels. The post holder will ensure all aspects of the trust strategy, trust values and the accountability charter are met, making sure the services you are responsible for are safe, caring, responsive, effective and well led, ensuring effective risk assessments and risk management systems are in place and adhered to in your service area. Ensure the implementation and understanding of fundamentals of care and work in partnership with triumvirate colleagues to ensure legal frameworks / care standards are being adhered to. At all times the post holder will ensure service user and carer/family involvement; co-production and choice are embedded into practice and service development, planning, monitoring and review. Main duties of the job The post holder will contribute to short-, medium- and long-term business plans, considering such demands as audits CQC reports and NICE guidelines, to achieve quality improvements, outcomes and outputs for the care group. The post holder will have a high level of autonomy. The person will be expected to interpret and apply organisational/operational/clinical/professional policies using their judgement, experience and skills. They will be expected to work independently and to guide and oversee the care team's application of such policies. To ensure that staff are aware of the Trust strategy and vision and that this is supported across service area by developing managerial and clinical capabilities. To participate and lead on under delegation service level improvements, audit and transformation activities. The post holder will offer strong clinical and operational leadership, advice and decision making in highly complex situations which require a high level of empathy, tact and sensitivity. The post holder will lead and manage a culture of care, compassion and sensitivity ensuring that the Trust values are reflected in all aspects of the role including the management of complaints and compliments. The post holder will take a lead on developing and delivering action plans from investigations within the Trust to appropriate disciplines.
