Role Summary:
Key Responsibilities
Technical Delivery & Program Management
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects and transformation programs.
- Manage project scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
- Drive cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, migration, and automation initiatives.
- Ensure delivery aligns with business objectives, architectural standards, and security requirements.
- Establish delivery governance, reporting, and performance metrics.
Infrastructure Operations Management
- Oversee operational delivery across:
- Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Data Centers and Hybrid Infrastructure
- Server and Virtualization Platforms
- Enterprise Networking (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/SD-WAN)
- Endpoint and Device Management (Intune, MECM/SCCM)
- Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity
- Ensure infrastructure availability, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Lead major incident management and service restoration activities.
Team Leadership & Resource Management
- Lead and manage infrastructure engineers, technical specialists, and support teams.
- Build high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Plan resource capacity and skills development to support business growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for infrastructure delivery and operational matters.
- Engage with senior business stakeholders to understand priorities and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide regular updates on delivery progress, risks, budgets, and service performance.
- Manage expectations and facilitate decision-making across technical and business teams.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, managed service providers, and consulting partners.
- Monitor service performance against SLAs and contractual obligations.
- Lead vendor governance meetings and service reviews.
- Drive continuous service improvement initiatives.
Service Management & Governance
- Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices across Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Capacity Management.
- Establish operational governance and service reporting frameworks.
- Drive service improvement plans and operational excellence initiatives.
- Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Risk, Security & Compliance
- Partner with security teams to ensure infrastructure compliance and cyber resilience.
- Identify and mitigate infrastructure risks.
- Ensure security controls, patching, vulnerability management, and compliance standards are maintained.
Financial Management
- Manage infrastructure delivery budgets and resource forecasts.
- Track project costs and operational expenditures.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
Required Experience
- 12+ years overall infrastructure experience ; 7+ Technical delivery manager experience
- Operate from 2 days in Crawley ; 1 day Farringdon UK offices.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise infrastructure and cloud transformation programs.
- Experience managing geographically distributed technical teams.
- Strong stakeholder management experience with senior business and technology leaders.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and managed service providers.
