Transport and Logistics Administrator
Role & Responsibilities
The Transport and Logistics Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative and coordination support to the transport and logistics function. The role will maintain driver compliance and maintenance records while liaising with depots, drivers, agencies and internal teams to ensure the efficient movement and utilisation of vehicles across regional depots. The role will involve booking agency drivers, arranging travel, accommodation, coordinating vehicle movements and maintaining accurate records across systems such as Optrax and BigChange. They will monitor and report transport-related costs, including leasing, agency, travel and fuel expenditure and reducing unnecessary costs where feasible. The Transport and Logistics Administrator will support invoice reconciliation and provide regular updates to the Team.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive and detail orientated. They will have strong administrative and communication skills. They will be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Teams and ideally have experience with transport, fleet or job management systems such as Optrax and BigChange. They will be able to manage competing priorities and deadlines, maintain accurate records, track costs and produce clear reports. A flexible approach to working hours, a commitment to high standards of service, and a willingness to continually improve processes would be desirable.
What’s on offer
This is a full-time role based on a 40-hour working week, operating on a rotating shift basis between 7:00am and 8:00pm which includes some weekend work. We offer a competitive salary with the opportunity to earn regular overtime.
