Licensed sponsor London Area, United Kingdom Temporary Posted 1 hour ago

Are you an experienced TUPE specialist looking for an interim opportunity to support a high-profile people project within one of London’s leading universities?

I am working with a prestigious London university with a large and diverse workforce, delivering world-class education from the heart of London. They are currently undertaking an important TUPE project and are looking for an experienced HR professional to provide specialist support through the mobilisation and employee transfer process.

They are looking to appoint an experienced TUPE HR Consultant on an interim basis until the end of the year, joining their specialist People & Culture team and working closely with the wider project team to successfully deliver this important programme.

This is a hands-on role where you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of TUPE activity, providing specialist advice, managing consultation and ensuring key people-related actions are delivered against the project's mobilisation plan.

The TUPE HR Consultant is an interim position paying up to £385 per day (inside IR35). The role is based in Central London, close to Holborn station, with hybrid working requiring 2 days per week in the office.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Leading the day-to-day delivery of TUPE activity, ensuring key actions, milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Managing employee consultation with affected staff, providing clear advice, guidance and communications throughout the transfer process.
  • Leading engagement with Trade Unions and employee representatives, supporting consultation and managing employee relations matters.
  • Coordinating TUPE due diligence, including the review of employee information, contracts, terms and conditions and employment liabilities.
  • Providing specialist TUPE advice to HR, senior leaders and project stakeholders, identifying and mitigating people-related risks.
  • Working as part of the wider project team to deliver the TUPE mobilisation plan, coordinating key HR activities to ensure a smooth and legally compliant employee transfer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TUPE HR professional with a strong track record of supporting complex employee transfers and consultation programmes. You will have significant practical knowledge of TUPE legislation, due diligence, employee consultation and Trade Union engagement, alongside the ability to confidently advise senior stakeholders. Previous experience within Higher Education would be highly advantageous, although candidates with experience in other large, complex and unionised public sector organisations are very much encouraged to apply.

Due to the timescales of the project, the successful candidate will need to be able to start immediately.

The interview process will consist of a one stage interview held on MS Teams.

Apply now to join a leading London university where you will play a key role in delivering an important TUPE project and ensuring a successful transition for affected employees.
