The Role

KOMI Group is home to some of the most watched and shared content on the internet. We're looking for a Video Editor to help produce engaging long-form YouTube videos built around the world's most interesting, surprising, wholesome, and entertaining user-generated clips.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their editing career within digital media. You'll work closely with the Publishing Team to learn what makes content perform on YouTube and develop your technical and creative editing skills.

You'll be working with a huge variety of real-life footage sourced from around the world, helping turn individual viral moments into highly engaging viewing experiences for millions of viewers.

As a Video Editor, you'll play a key role in shaping each episode from raw footage through to final delivery. You'll receive regular feedback and support from experienced YouTube specialists while developing an understanding of audience retention, storytelling, and content optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit engaging long-form YouTube videos using user-generated and viral content from around the world.
  • Structure episodes in a way that creates an entertaining and seamless viewing experience.
  • Add music, graphics, subtitles, visual effects, and other editorial elements where appropriate to enhance the final product.
  • Work closely with the Content Manager to review edits, implement feedback, and continually improve your work.
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting channel upload schedules and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with researchers, publishers, and content teams to ensure the strongest clips are showcased in the most effective way.
  • Contribute creative ideas that help improve content quality and audience engagement.
  • Stay aware of internet culture, viral trends, and emerging content formats.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • A passion for video editing and digital content. An interest in viral content, internet culture, and online communities is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • A creative mindset with an interest in storytelling and audience engagement.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team and respond positively to feedback.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with regular deadlines.
