Role Description This is a volunteer role for a Student Only Event Management Programme based in London. The volunteer will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of business and finance-related events, including workshops, networking sessions, and client engagement activities. Typical tasks include assisting with event logistics, liaising with speakers and attendees, preparing event materials, and helping manage event registration and communications. The role may also involve supporting social media promotion, collecting feedback, and contributing ideas to improve future events. Volunteers will gain practical experience in event management, exposure to the financial services sector, and the opportunity to develop professional and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Interest in event planning, coordination, and on-the-day support, with a willingness to learn core event management practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently and respectfully with diverse attendees and stakeholders.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfort using basic digital tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentation software, and social media) to support event promotion and administration.
- Current event location in Wembley / 2 weekend / minimum 5 hours
- Reliable, proactive, and open to feedback, with a positive approach to teamwork and problem-solving.
- Previous volunteering, customer service, or event assistance experience is beneficial but not required.
