🚀 VP, Algo / Smart Order Router Developer | London

I'm working with a leading electronic trading business seeking an experienced Algo Developer to help build the next generation of execution and routing technology.

This is a genuinely greenfield opportunity where you'll play a key role designing and developing institutional-grade execution algorithms and Smart Order Routing capabilities from the ground up.

The role:

▪ Design and develop low-latency EMS and Smart Order Routing infrastructure

▪ Build intelligent execution algorithms across fragmented liquidity venues

▪ Optimise routing decisions based on liquidity, latency, execution quality, and cost

▪ Partner closely with traders and product teams

▪ Drive architecture decisions across a highly scalable trading platform

▪ Support performance tuning and production trading environments

Requirements:

✔ Strong Java engineering background

✔ Experience building execution algorithms or Smart Order Routers

✔ Deep understanding of electronic trading architecture

✔ Market data, exchange connectivity, and order lifecycle expertise

✔ Low-latency systems development experience

✔ Strong knowledge of concurrency, networking, and performance optimisation

✔ Linux environment experience

Experience across FX, electronic trading, market connectivity, or digital markets is particularly relevant.

London-based.
